Photographs are everywhere: In living rooms and offices, on computer desktops and cell phone screens. But why do people actually like taking and looking at photographs so much? It s belief that they do it for a variety of reasons.
First and foremost, people love taking and looking at photographs because, in this way, they are able to remember places they have been to or past events in their lives. For example, photographs can help us remember an enjoyable summer or winter holiday, the exciting activities we took part in and the beautiful landscapes that surrounded us.
What is more, taking photographs is a hobby for many people. There is no doubt that photography is an art form, so it is a way for people to create and express themselves, and even, for professional photographers, to make a rewarding career. For some people photography is a passion, even though they don' t regard themselves as artists. When they look at the photographs they have taken, they feel satisfaction and happiness.
On the whole, photographs are an integral part of our life. They not only fill us with memories, but are also a means for some of us to express our artistic abilities.
